Abstract:
This polycrystalline cubic boron nitride contains 98.5% by volume or more cubic boron nitride. When a cross section of the polycrystalline cubic boron nitride is observed at a magnification of 10,000 times using a scanning electron microscope, the area ratio S1 of crystal particles having an equivalent circle diameter of 1 μm or greater is 20% by area or less.
