Abstract:

A polyester container, characterized in that it is produced by subjecting a preform of a thermoplastic resin formed by the injection molding of a thermoplastic polyester resin to a stretch molding, the central portion of the bottom wall thereof comprises the residue of the gate formed in the injection molding and has a thickness greater than that of the portion around said central portion, and that the above central portion of the bottom wall is substantially amorphous and the bottom wall around said central portion is oriented and crystallized. The above polyester container has a thick portion comprising the residue of the gate in the injection molding formed in the center of the bottom and also is excellent in heat resistance and impact resistance.
