Abstract:
The polyester film recovery method includes a functional layer removal step (A) of cleaning with a cleaning agent a layered polyester film comprising a functional layer on the surface of a polyester film, thereby removing the functional layer, and a recovery step (B) of recovering the polyester film wherefrom the functional layer has been removed, the polyester film recovery method being characterized in that the cleaning agent is selected from among (1) to (3). (1) A cleaning agent containing a compound having (a) an alkalinizing agent, and (b) at least one hydroxyl group. (2) A cleaning agent having (a) an alkalinizing agent, and (c) a compatibilizing agent. (3) A cleaning agent having an alcohol species whereof the acidity constant (pKa) is between 8.0 and 20.0 inclusive. The invention can provide a polyester film recovery method, a recovery device, and a functional layer removal agent, which allow the functional layer to be detached, and allow the base material film to be recovered.
