Abstract:
This PET/SPS polymer alloy contains a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) (2), a syndiotactic polystyrene (SPS) (1), and a homopolymer of a compound having a carbonyl group or a copolymer of the compound. Since the compatibility between the polyethylene terephthalate and the syndiotactic polystyrene is improved by the homopolymer or the copolymer, this PET/SPS polymer alloy obtained therefrom has good formability and film forming properties. In addition, this PET/SPS polymer alloy is suitable for use in a biaxially oriented film for film capacitors.
