Title:
POLYOLEFIN MICROPOROUS MEMBRANE, SEPARATOR FOR SECONDARY BATTERIES, AND SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/024710
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a polyolefin microporous membrane which, when the polyolefin microporous membrane is incorporated into a battery as a separator, exhibits excellent safety if the battery reaches a high temperature. The present invention provides a polyolefin microporous membrane wherein: when T50 is the temperature at which the crystal melting endotherm as measured by differential scanning calorimetric analysis (first heating) is 50% of the total melting endotherm and T10 is the temperature at which said crystal melting endotherm is 10% of the total melting endotherm, T50 - T10 ≥ 15°C is satisfied; and the strength PS5 at 5 mm displacement as determined by puncture strength measurement at the shutdown temperature is 7.0 gf/g/m2 or more.
