Abstract:
A polyoxymethylene copolymer which has a melting point of 167 to 173 °C and a content of low-molecular polyoxymethylene copolymers of 5,000 ppm or lower; and a composition of the polyoxymethylene copolymer. The copolymer is obtained by treating the unstable ends of a polymer with heat in the presence of a quaternary ammonium compound in an amount of 0.05 to 50 wt.ppm. The composition is usable as mechanical parts such as gears and cams, video/audio/communication apparatuses, interior and exterior automotive trim parts, etc.
