Abstract:
The present invention provides a polypropylene-specific efficient halogen-free flame retardant masterbatch, consisting of the following raw materials in percentages by weight: 30-40% of ammonium polyphosphate; 10-20% of pentaerythritol octahydrogen tetraphosphate; 15-25% of melamine; 5-15% of Bisphenol-A bis(diphenyl phosphate); 10-30% of microcellular polypropylene; 0.1-1% of pentaerythrityl tetrastearate; 0.1-0.5% of antioxidant 1010; and 0.1-0.5% of antioxidant 168. The microcellular polypropylene are particles having a size of 3-5 mm, wherein the foam cell size on the surfaces of the particles is 10-100 µm and the density of foam cells is greater than 105 cells/cm3. In the present invention, the prepared polypropylene-specific efficient halogen-free flame retardant masterbatch is easily dispersible and processable and has high flame retardant efficiency and low production costs, and therefore is widely used in production of flame-retardant polypropylene materials for extrusion, injection moulding, and film blowing.
