Abstract:
A porous carbon nanostructure having a structure of six−membered carbon ring arrays wherein at least one dimension has the order of nanometers, characterized in that pores and&sol or defects are formed in the six−membered carbon ring array structure&semi and a method for preparing the porous carbon nanostructure which comprises dispersing a carbon nanostructure in a liquid medium and irradiating the nanostructure with an ultrasonic wave, to thereby form pores and&sol or defects in a graphite layer constituting the nanostructure. The porous carbon nanostructure is advantageous in that it can be dispersed with ease in a liquid medium and has a graphite layer capable of being effectively modified.
