Abstract:
The group of inventions relates to porous filtering elements produced by compressing initial components under heating conditions, for example by compressing, die-casting, continuous extrusion and calendering. The inventive filtering elements based on activated carbon materials are usable for filters and filtering system for water clarification. Said invention makes it possible to increase the service life of filters and simultaneously attain a high degree of heavy metals removal. The aim is attained by that the porous filtering element produced by compressing heated initial components contains 50-95 % of activated carbon particles, 3-30 % of ion-exchange non-melting fibres and a polymer binder and the specific conductance thereof at a contact with distilled water is equal to or greater than 10-4Ohm-1?m-1.
