Abstract:
The invention is related to a portable drive system for high masts (1) comprising of at least one electric motor (1.1), at least one drum (1.2), an electric panel (1.3), at least one gearbox (1.4), a steel rope (1.5) that is placed on the portable drive system for high masts (1), drives the mast rope (DH) by connecting to the mast rope (DH) inside the high mast (D) and thus moves the lift mechanism of the high mast (D) upwards and downwards; a hook (1.5.1) that is placed on the tip of the steel rope (1.5) and allows for attaching the steel rope (1.5) to the mast rope (DH) inside the high mast (D); a pulley (1.6) that is placed on the tip of the portable drive system for high masts (1) that enters the high mast (D) and allows for accurately guiding the steel rope (1.5) that is connected to the mast rope (DH) inside the high mast (D); and wheels (1.8) that allow for easily carrying and moving the portable drive system for high masts (1), which are placed on a portable drive system for high masts (1) that embodies all drive equipment to drive the lift systems of high masts that are used for lighting of industrial facilities, airports, depot areas, motorways and similar infrastructure sites, thus can be used in multiple high masts and easily moved around.

CLAIMS

1. The invention is a portable drive system for high masts (1) which embodies all drive equipment to drive the lift systems of high masts that are used for lighting of industrial facilities, airports, depot areas, motorways and similar infrastructure sites, thus can be used in multiple high masts and easily moved around, comprising;

At least one electric motor (1.1) that is placed on the portable drive system for high masts (1),

At least one drum (1.2) that is placed on the portable drive system for high masts (1),

An electric panel (1.3) that is placed on the portable drive system for high masts (1) and meets the power need of the electric motor (1.1),

At least one gearbox (1.4) that is placed on the portable drive system for high masts (1),

A steel rope (1.5) that is placed on the portable drive system for high masts (1), drives the mast rope (DH) by connecting to the mast rope (DH) inside the high mast (D) and thus moves the lift mechanism of the high mast (D) upwards and downwards,

A hook (1.5.1) that is placed on the tip of the steel rope (1.5) and allows for attaching the steel rope (1.5) to the mast rope (DH) inside the high mast (D), A pulley (1.6) that is placed on the tip of the portable drive system for high masts (1) that enters the high mast (D) and allows for accurately guiding the steel rope (1.5) that is connected to the mast rope (DH) inside the high mast (D),

Wheels (1.8) that allow for easily carrying and moving the portable drive system for high masts (1).

2. A portable drive system for high masts (1) according to claim 1, comprising; a protective plate (1.7) that protects the electric motor (1.1), drum (1.2), electric

7 panel (1.3) and gearbox (1.4) on the portable drive system for high masts (1) from outer factors and is placed on the concerned drive equipment. A portable drive system for high masts (1) according to claim 1 or claim 2, comprising; handles (1.9) that allow for easily lifting the portable drive system for high masts (1), mounting it to the high mast (D) and easily handling and carrying around. A portable drive system for high masts (1) according to claim 1 or claim 2 or claim 3, comprising; a fastener (1.10) that provides fastening the portable drive system for high masts (1) to the high mast (D), while using.

Description:
PORTABLE DRIVE SYSTEM FOR HIGH MASTS

Technical Field:

This invention is related to a portable drive system for high masts which embodies all drive equipment to drive the lift systems of high masts that are used for lighting of industrial facilities, airports, depot areas, motorways and similar infrastructure sites, thus can be used in multiple high masts and easily moved around.

Prior Art:

On high masts for lighting in prior art, luminaires are mounted on a moving steel carcass, which is connected to a drive system through steel ropes and can be moved upwards and downwards on a mast like a lift.

Therefore, it is not required to carry personnel to the highest point of the mast for maintenance and repair of projectors, all maintenance and repair of the projects which are lowered to the ground level with the lift system is completed on the ground level and they can be elevated to the highest point of the mast again.

On high masts for lighting in prior art, the electric motor, gearbox and other drive components are solid mounted inside the mast. In this case, separate electric motors, gearboxes and similar drive components are used for every mast. The requirement for using a separate electric motor, gearbox and a similar drive component on every mast increases the initial investment costs as well as the risk of failure. Purpose of Invention:

This invention to be registered intends to give an external and portable quality to the drive group of high masts which have their own drive groups, and thus use the concerned drive group on multiple masts. Therefore, the number of drive components used on each mast will reduce and so will the costs and risk of failure.

Moreover, this invention to be registered can easily be moved and carried around with its wheel mechanism. This invention also intends to facilitate maintenance and repair works and improve workplace safety during the use of the products.

Description of Invention:

The portable drive system for high masts (1) has the characteristic of a handcart. The invention is easily ridden like a handcart by a human being with the help of its wheels (1.8) and easily moved from one place to another. The invention has three wheels (1.8) in total with two at the rear and one in the front. Furthermore, the invention has handles (1.9) that allow for easily lifting and mounting the invention to the high mast (D) and handling and carrying around.

The portable drive system for high masts (1) offers by itself and externally the drive system needed by the lift mechanisms of high masts (D) by embodying the electric motor (1.1), drum (1.2), electric panel (1.3), gearbox (1.4) and steel rope (1.5) which are drive components. Therefore, it eliminates the need for using drive components on high masts (D) and reduces the number of drive components used for every mast. As a result of that, it reduces the costs and risk of failure.

The electric motor (1.1) that is placed on the portable drive system for high masts (1) can be rotated in both ways in a way to roll the steel rope (1.5) on the drum (1.2) or loosen the steel rope (1.5). With the drum (1.2) rotating at the necessary rotation, the steel rope (1.5) is rolled or loosened. The electric motor (1.1) is controlled by the electric panel (1.3) that is placed on the portable drive system for high masts (1). The gearbox (1.4) that is placed on the portable drive system for high masts (1) lowers the movement coming from the electric motor (1.1) to the required speed.

With the steel rope (1.5) that is rolled on the drum (1.2) or loosened with the operation of the electric motor (1.1) and drives the mast rope (DH) by connecting to the mast rope (DH) inside the high mast (D) moves the lift mechanism of the high mast (D) and it is possible to make maintenance and repair of the high mast (D) on the ground.

While there are the electric motor (1.1), drum (1.2), electric panel (1.3) and gearbox (1.4), which are drive components, on one tip of the invention which has the characteristic of a handcart, the other tip of the invention gets inside the high mast (D). The invention is fixed to the high mast (D) with the fastener (1.10) that is placed on the tip of the invention that enters the high mast (D) while using the invention. After the operation is completed, the invention is demounted from where it is fixed to the high mast (D) and taken to another high mast (D) to be used. This procedure is repeated on all high masts (D) that the invention is to be used on.

There is a protective plate (1.7) which protects the electric motor (1.1), drum (1.2), electric panel (1.3) and gearbox (1.4) placed on one tip of the portable drive system for high masts (1) from outer factors. This protective plate (1.7) is placed on the electric motor (1.1), drum (1.2), electric panel (1.3) and gearbox (1.4).

There is a steel rope (1.5), that is driven by the drive components placed on the portable drive system for high masts (1), on the tip of the portable drive system for high masts (1) and enters the high mast (D). This steel rope connects to the mast rope (DH) inside the high mast (D) and transfers drive to the high mast (DH). Therefore, the lift mechanism of the high mast (D) moves upwards and downwards. There is a hook (1.5.1) on the tip of the steel rope (1.5) that attaches the steel rope (1.5) to the mast rope (DH) inside the high mast (D). There is a pulley (1.6) that allows for accurately guiding the steel rope (1.5) connected to the mast rope (DH) inside the high mast (D) on the tip of the portable drive system for high masts (1) that enters the high mast (D).

Application of Invention to Industry;

The invention is used for driving the lift mechanisms of all high masts and can easily be manufactured.
