Abstract:
In one aspect, a portable electronic device comprises a storage unit, a display unit, an atmospheric pressure measurement unit, a determination unit, and a position correction unit. The storage unit stores, with respect to each floor in a building, a floor map relating to the floor. The display unit displays, on the floor map, the current position of the device on the floor. The atmospheric pressure measurement unit measures atmospheric pressure acting on the device. The determination unit determines, on the basis of a change in the atmospheric pressure, whether the device is moving between floors. The position correction unit corrects the current position of the device displayed on the floor map with the determination unit's determination that the device is moving between the floors as a trigger.
