Abstract:
A portable electronic device according to one embodiment which has a control unit for turning on a manner mode setting when determined to be riding in a vehicle, and also turning on the manner mode setting when a set time is reached, wherein the control unit defers the turning on of the set-time-based manner mode setting if the set time is reached after being determined to be in a state of riding in a vehicle. Furthermore, in the event that the time to turn on the set-time-based manner mode setting is reached while in a state of riding in a vehicle, then the portable electronic device turns on the manner mode setting based on the state of riding in a vehicle and does not turn on the manner mode setting based on the set time.
