Abstract:
A portable radio which can surely prevent static electricity from intruding into a liquid crystal display element. A portable radio (10) is stored in an upper case (11) and is provided with an upper circuit board (17) connected with a liquid crystal display element (16), a lower circuit board (24) stored in a lower case (12), upper and lower connectors (18, 25) provided on the upper and lower circuit boards (17, 24), and a coaxial cable (30) which electrically connects the upper and lower circuit boards (17, 24) by connecting them with each of the connectors (18, 25). A line (31) passing the center of the coaxial cable (30) is used as a signal line and also as an exclusive ground for signals, and an outer coat (32) of the coaxial cable (30) is electrically connected with the upper case (11) and also with a ground (28A) of a battery (28) of the lower case (12).
