Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a portable terminal apparatus that makes it possible to carry a contactless IC card together with the terminal body and that can be used without worry.
[Solution] In relation to a portable terminal apparatus used in combination with a contactless IC card, a portable terminal is provided with: a terminal body 13 that has a built-in device needed to communicate and exchange information; a battery 14 that is built into the terminal body as a power source for the portable terminal; and a card housing unit 15 that is formed in a portion of the terminal body in order to house the IC card in the portable terminal. The portable terminal is further provided with a layer (34) forming an electromagnetic shield between the battery and the IC card.
