Abstract:
The present invention relates to a position data packet transmission device and method and, particularly, to a position data packet transmission device and method for compressing and transmitting GPS position data through low speed communication. The position data packet transmission device according to one embodiment of the present invention transmits, as position data, a bit stream including: date data respectively having year, month, and day data as hex codes of 1 byte; time data respectively having hour, minute, and second data as hex codes of one byte; 1-byte validity direction data for displaying, on a preset bit stream, data validity, mobility of an object, latitude direction, longitude direction, and whether information per second is included; latitude data having hex codes of four bytes; and longitude data having hex codes of four bytes, wherein the latitude data and the longitude data are transmitted by being included if a data validity bit value within a byte of the validity direction data is 1, and are not included if the data validity bit value is 0.
