Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application relate to the technical field of communications, and provide a positioning information reporting method and apparatus, which can reduce measurement errors in the positioning technology and improve positioning precision. The method comprises: a terminal device obtains request location information of a location management network element comprising angle assistance information, the angle assistance information being used for indicating an angle of an access network element relative to the terminal device; the terminal device sends, to the location management network element, provision location information comprising the measurement result and first indication information corresponding to the measurement result, the measurement result being a result of the terminal device measuring, according to the angle assistance information, a signal sent by the access network element; the first indication information being used for indicating whether an angle corresponding to the measurement result falls within the angle indicated by the angle assistance information.
