The present application relates to the technical field of lithium ion batteries, and provides a positive plate and a battery. The positive plate comprises: a current collector; the current collector comprises a first side surface and a second side surface that are arranged opposite to each other; at least one of the first side surface and the second side surface is provided with an active material layer; the active material layer comprises a first active material layer and a second active material layer; when the thickness of the positive plate is less than or equal to 110 microns, the content of aluminum in lithium cobalt oxide particles of the first active material layer is 5600-7200 ppm, and the content of aluminum in lithium cobalt oxide particles of the second active material layer is 6000-8300 ppm; when the thickness of the positive plate is greater than 110 microns, the content of aluminum in the lithium cobalt oxide particles of the first active material layer is 4700-6300 ppm, and the content of aluminum in the lithium cobalt oxide particles of the second active material layer is 6000-7600 ppm. The problem of poor high temperature cycling of lithium ion batteries caused by reduction of structural stability of existing lithium cobalt oxide can be solved.
