Abstract:
An anchor (1) applied to a prepared hole (19) of the undercut type with the diameter expanded like a taper adjacent the hole bottom, the anchor comprising a sleeve (2) having an expandable section (6), and a plug (3) formed with a taper section (14) to be inserted in the sleeve (2) to expand the expandable section (6). When the plug (3) is driven in with the sleeve (2) seated on the prepared hole bottom, an annular projection (13) fits in a fit groove (7) while the expandable section (6) is expanding until it closely contacts the taper surface (21a) of the prepared hole (19). Simultaneously, the construction is completed with the expandable section (6) pressed against the taper surface (21a) of the prepared hole by the hole bottom reaction that is produced with the seating of the plug (3) on the bottom of the prepared hole (19). Simultaneously with the completion of the construction, the same degree of tensile yield strength as in steel or the like can be immediately obtained without applying an external tensile force.
