Abstract:
A pouch-type secondary battery, a sealing device for the secondary battery, and a sealing method for the secondary battery, according to the present invention, enable a plurality of areas of a pouch-type case to be sealed without an additional manufacturing step, and thus a secondary battery having high adhesion density can be provided In addition, a packaging material of a pouch-type case and adhesion between an end part of an electrode and an end part of a separator of an electrode assembly are improved so that generation of over voltage or acceleration of electrolyte consumption can be prevented. The secondary battery according to the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly in which an electrode and a separator are alternately stacked; and a pouch accommodating the electrode assembly and including a sealing part, which is a portion bonded at one part thereof, wherein the sealing part can comprise: a first sealing area spaced a predetermined distance from the electrode assembly and formed at the edge of the pouch; and a second sealing area, which is an area corresponding to the electrode assembly.
