Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a device which efficiently cools falling powder particles.
[Solution] A powder particle cooling device (1) is provided with: a powder particle cooling tube section (33); a spreading section (51) which spreads powder particles by expanding a flow passage for the powder particles, the powder particles falling from the upper part of the powder particle cooling tube section (33) and passing through the inside of the powder particle cooling tube section (33); a spray section (53) which sprays water into the powder particle cooling tube section (33); and an air introduction section (55) which supplies air into the powder particle cooling tube section (33). Water vapor, which is produced when the water sprayed from the spray section (53) evaporates due to the heat exchange of the water with the powder particles, is discharged from the upper part or the lower part of the powder particle cooling tube section (33) together with the air having been supplied from the air introduction section (55). The spreading section (51) is formed in a mountain shape, the center of which protrudes upward, and the spreading section (51) has a first spreading section (51a) provided at a position which causes introduced powder particles to collide with the top and the side surface of the conical shape.
