Abstract:
A power conversion device is provided with: a first arm (31) having a switching element (311) and another switching element (312) which are connected in series; a second arm (32) having a switching element (321) and another switching element (322) which are connected in series and connected in parallel with the first arm (31); a reactor (2) having one end connected to the switching element (311) and the switching element (312) and the other end connected to an AC power supply 1; and a smoothing capacitor (4) connected in parallel with the first arm (31) and the second arm (32). The switching element (311) and the switching element (312) are more excellent in loss characteristics occurring at every switching than the switching element (321) and the switching element (322).
