Abstract:

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish a sidelink communication link with a base station via a relay UE. The UE may receive control signaling from the base station indicating a configuration for transmitting a power headroom report for transmissions scheduled over the sidelink communication link. The UE may determine a power headroom associated with transmissions from the UE to the relay UE over the sidelink communication link based on a transmission power capability of the UE, and convey a power headroom report to the base station. The base station may schedule communications with the UE based on the received power headroom report for the sidelink communication link.
