Abstract:
In the present invention, the traffic and processing load of an external circuit of a power management integrated circuit are reduced. A power management integrated circuit comprises a state determination unit and a remaining-battery-power measuring unit. The state determination unit of the power management integration circuit determines whether the battery charge-discharge state corresponds to any of multiple states that are each associated with a different cycle. Moreover, the remaining-battery-power measuring unit of the power management integrated circuit measures the remaining-battery-power each time a cycle ends, the cycle corresponding to the battery charge-discharge state as determined by the state determination unit.
