Abstract:
A power shut-off device comprises: an output terminal connected to a load; a plurality of shut-off circuits connected between a power supply and the output terminal in parallel; and a control device for controlling each of the shut-off circuits. Each of the shut-off circuits has: a switch element connected between the power supply and an intermediate node and on/off-controlled by a shut-off signal output from the control device; and a rectifying element connected so that the direction from the intermediate node to the output terminal is the forward direction thereof. The control device sequentially sets each of the shut-off circuits as a circuit to be diagnosed. The control device sets the shut-off signal output to each of the shut-off circuits so that the switch element of the circuit to be diagnosed is turned off. Further, the control device determines based on the voltage at the intermediate node of the circuit to be diagnosed whether or not an abnormality is present in the circuit to be diagnosed.
