Abstract:
A power supply device equipped with: a switch inserted between a power grid and a prescribed load to which power must be supplied without interruption during a power outage; a power storage system having a storage battery, a first charging and discharging unit inserted between the storage battery and the power grid, and a second charging and discharging unit inserted between the storage battery and the prescribed load; and a control unit that controls the switch, the first charging and discharging unit, and the second charging and discharging unit. When a grid fault occurs the control unit opens the switch, breaking the connection between the power grid and the prescribed load, and reverse current flows to the first charging and discharging unit for a prescribed period of time, and power is supplied to the prescribed load from the second charging and discharging unit.
