Abstract:
If a current value detected by a current detecting unit 12 exceeds a first set current value, set to be higher than a nominal current value of a main power supply device 1, then a first overcurrent protection unit instructs a control unit 13 to restrict a regulator output current. If the mean value, over a fixed period, of the current value detected by the current detecting unit 12 exceeds a second set current value, set to be a value corresponding to the nominal current value, then a second overcurrent protection unit instructs the control unit 13 to restrict the regulator output current. If, during startup, the current value detected by the current detecting unit 12 exceeds a third set current value, set to be lower than the second set current value, then a third overcurrent protection unit instructs the control unit 13 to restrict the regulator output current.
