Abstract:
A power supply device comprises first auxiliaries and a first rectifier connected
to a DC power supply, second auxiliaries receiving power through the first rectifier,
a first DC/DC converter using the DC power supply as an input source, an electrical
storage element connected to the output terminal of the first DC/DC converter,
and a second DC/DC converter using the electrical storage element as an input
source and connected to the first DC/DC rectifier at its output terminal. The
power supply device prevents the supply voltage to the second auxiliaries from
decreasing, by supplying power from the DC power supply to the second auxiliaries
and operating of the first DC/DC converter to charge up the electrical storage
element when the output voltage of the DC power supply is higher than a predetermined
value, and by starting operation of a second DC/DC converter when the output voltage
of the DC power supply decreases below the predetermined value.
