Abstract:
The invention provides a lithographic printing original plate which exhibits excellent on-machine developability and is excellent in sensitivity, image strength (tight adhesion to substrate), moisture resistance, and plate wear resistance; and a lithographic printing method. Specifically, a lithographic printing original plate comprising a substrate and an image recording layer formed on the substrate which comprises (A) an actinic radiation absorber, (B) a polymerization initiator, and (C) a polymerizable compound and which is removable with printing ink, dampening water, or both, characterized in that the polymerization initiator is at least one of the compounds represented by the general formulae [1] to [4].
