Abstract:
A power supply device comprises: an inverter circuit (11) for converting a DC voltage to an AC voltage; a pulse signal generation circuit (12) for controlling the inverter circuit (11) at a set drive frequency; an insulating type piezoelectric transformer (15) for stepping down the AC voltage output from the inverter circuit (11); a parallel resonant circuit (14) connected between the inverter circuit (11) and the piezoelectric transformer (15); and another parallel resonant circuit (152) constituted by the piezoelectric transformer (15) and an inductor (L2) connected to the output side of the piezoelectric transformer (15) and having the same resonance frequency as the parallel resonant circuit (14). A process is performed at a predetermined period, in which the resonance frequency of the piezoelectric transformer (15) attributable to the parallel resonant circuits (14, 152) is detected at the input side of the piezoelectric transformer (15) by sweeping the drive frequency. The detected resonance frequency is set as the drive frequency.
