Abstract:

A power transmission device according to the present invention comprises: a housing; a ball screw device comprising a nut housed within the housing, a threaded shaft passing through the nut, and balls disposed between the nut and the threaded shaft; first and second bearings that are provided between the housing and the nut and are adjacent to each other in a central axis direction parallel to the central axis of the nut; and a preloading member, formed from an elastic material, that preloads the first and second bearing. The first and second bearings respectively comprise outer races that mate with the housing and are separated from each other in the central axis direction. The first and second bearings are disposed so that front surfaces thereof form a combination. The preloading member compresses the outer races in a direction such that the outer races approach each other. A gap is formed between the outer races.
