Abstract:

A pre-filled syringe (1) is provided with a gasket (3) comprising a gasket body (6) and a plunger mounting member (7). The plunger mounting member (7) moves freely relative to the gasket body (6) when portions of the plunger mounting member (7), the portions having helical ribs (74, 75) formed thereon, are in a state in which the portions are contained within a containing section (62) of the gasket body (6). When the plunger (4) is caused to enter the inside of a hollow section of the plunger mounting member (7) while being rotated, the pressing section (48) of the plunger presses the base end surface of the base end-side flange section of the plunger mounting member (7), and a front end-side flange section (72) of the plunger mounting member (7) presses the base end surface of the gasket body. Then, an engagement section (41) of the plunger (4) engages with an engagement rib (76) of the plunger mounting member (7), and thus, the mounting of the plunger (4) to a pre-filled syringe body (10) is completed. The front end of the plunger mounting member (7) and a mounting front end section (40) of the plunger (4) in a state in which the plunger (4) is mounted to the gasket (3) are adapted so as not to make contact with the inner surface of the gasket body (6).
