Abstract:
Provided is a precipitation measuring device using an optical fiber Bragg grating sensor, comprising: a base fixed horizontally at a location in which precipitation is to be measured; a cylindrical cover fixed on top of the base; a bucket for collecting and discharging a predetermined amount of water flowing into the cover; and a sensing unit for sensing the number of times the water is discharged from the bucket by using the optical fiber Bragg grating sensor, and thus a change in a load acting on a water collecting tank by means of the predetermined amount of water discharged from the bucket is sensed using the optical fiber Bragg grating sensor, and precipitation can be precisely measured using the number of changes in the wavelength of light output from the optical fiber Bragg grating sensor.
