Abstract:
A prediction method for parking spaces in parking lots, and a server. The method comprises the following steps: selecting a parking lot having the number of vacant parking spaces being greater than zero, and calculating a travel time for the vehicle to travel to the parking lot; predicting a vacant parking space change rate in a current time period according to past vacant parking space change rate data of the parking lot; and predicting the number of vacant parking spaces in the parking lot after the travel time according to the vacant parking space change rate in the current time period. Parking lots having vacant parking spaces and being close to the user can be selected, so that the user can conveniently select a suitable parking lot to park. In the method, the numbers of vacant parking spaces in the parking lots are also predicted, and according to the numbers of vacant parking spaces and past data of the current parking lots, the numbers of vacant parking spaces in the parking lots when the user arrives at the parking lots are predicted, so as to provide more comprehensive information for the user so that the user makes a more reasonable selection, thereby avoiding the occurrence of a situation that the vacant parking spaces have already been occupied when the user arrives at the parking lot.
