Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a separation channel (1) provided with a liquid feed pump (2) for feeding a mobile phase, a separation column (4) for separating a component in a sample, and a detector (6) for detecting a peak of the component separated by the separation column (4); a plurality of liquid handlers (8-1 to 8-n), each of the liquid handlers (8-1 to 8-n) being provided with an injection unit (16) functioning as an injector for performing an injection operation of injecting a sample into the mobile phase flowing in an analysis channel (1) upstream of the separation column (4) in the analysis channel (1) when introduced to the separation channel (1), and a fractionation unit (18) functioning as a fraction collector for performing a fractionation operation of fractionating the peak of the component separated by the separation column (4) when introduced to the separation channel (1); selectors (10, 12, 14) for selectively switching the liquid handler introduced to the separation channel (1) from the plurality of liquid handlers (8-1 to 8-n); and a controller (40) for controlling the operation of the plurality of liquid handlers (8-1 to 8-n) and the selectors (10, 12, 14), the controller (40) being configured to introduce the plurality of liquid handlers (8-1 to 8-n) to the separation channel (1) in a prescribed sequence and cause the respective liquid handler (8-1 to 8-n) to perform the injection operation and the fractionation operation, and sequentially perform separation and fractionation of a plurality of samples respectively allocated to each of the plurality of liquid handlers (8-1 to 8-n). The controller (40) is configured to cause each of the plurality of liquid handlers (8-1 to 8-n) to perform a preparation operation of preparing for the injection operation while another liquid handler is being introduced to the separation channel (1), and perform the injection operation immediately after being introduced to the separation channel (1).
