Abstract:
In this prepreg, a resin layer containing a thermoset resin and a thermoplastic resin is present on at least one of the surfaces of a fiber layer containing a thermoset resin and non-continuous carbon fibers oriented in one direction. The fiber mass of the carbon fiber contained in the prepreg is 120 to 300g/m2. The resin content percentage by mass with respect to the total mass of the prepreg is 25 to 50%. If three layers of the prepreg are layered, the middle prepreg is pulled out, and the inter-layer frictional coefficients at the prepreg-to-prepreg contact surfaces are measured under the conditions of 0.2 mm/min pull-out speed, 0.08 MPa vertical stress, and 1 mm pull-out length, in a temperature range of 40 to 80°C at 10°C intervals, a temperature at which the inter-layer frictional coefficient is 0.05 or lower exists within the temperature range of 40 to 80°C. The prepreg provided by the invention allows a wrinkle-free pre-form to be produced, and, when turned into carbon-fiber reinforced plastic, exhibits satisfactory mechanical properties.
