Abstract:
A press forming method according to the present invention is for press-forming a press-formed article 120 by unbending a flange part 115 of a pre-unbending press-formed article 110 having a hat-like cross-section so as to make the flange part 115 form a portion of a vertical wall 123, using: a punch 11 that has a punch-side first sloped surface part 11b and a punch-side second sloped surface part 11c, both of which are formed of a mountain-like shape that protrudes outward in such a manner as to have a punch ridge line part 11d formed in the connecting part between the punch-side first sloped surface part 11b and the punch-side second sloped surface part 11c; and a die 13 having a flange unbending part 13d. The flange part 115 of the pre-unbending press-formed article 110 is unbent by a flange unbending part 13d of the die 13 while the punch ridge line part 11d is kept in abutment against the inner surface side of a vertical wall 113, so as to form a portion of the vertical wall 123 of the press-formed article 120.
