Abstract:
Provided are a pressure detection unit for reducing cost while effectively suppressing the influence of static electricity, and a pressure sensor using this pressure detection unit. In the pressure detection unit, a housing that is provided inside a pressure reception space and is formed from an electrically conductive material comprises a bottomed cylinder part and a lid part blocking the open end of the bottomed cylinder part. A pressure detection device is disposed inside an opening connecting the inside and outside of the housing. The housing is electrically connected to one of multiple terminal pins connected to outside wiring and is kept at zero potential. Even if the external environment produces a charge in a liquid medium filling the pressure reception space, because the pressure detection device is surrounded by the housing, which is kept at zero potential, the effect of the charge is avoided and erroneous pressure detection device output, and the like, resulting from charge is prevented.
