Abstract:
This reading system for reading the color density of printed matter formed using ink having a color density that changes according to the surrounding environment comprises a reading device and an information processing device. The printed matter comprises a first region (reference area (100)) formed using ink and a second region (sensor region (101)) formed using the same ink as the first region. The first region is in a state where color has appeared or disappeared. At the start of environment change monitoring, the second region has a different color density from that of the first region. The reading device acquires an image including the first region and second region. The information processing device assesses color information for the second region on the basis of color information for the first region. The printed matter may be circular printed matter, bicircular printed matter, dot printed matter, barcode printed matter, QR code printed matter, or the like.
