A printing consumable and a chip (30). The printing consumable comprises a box body (10) and an electrical connection assembly; the electrical connection assembly is connected to the box body (10); the electrical connection assembly comprises a chip (30); the chip (30) comprises a substrate (120) and a plurality of terminals (31) arranged on the substrate (120); the plurality of terminals (31) comprise at least one auxiliary contact terminal and a plurality of direct contact terminals; at least one of the box body (10) and the electric connection assembly is provided with a guide assembly, and the guide assembly is configured to abut against at least one contact pin (91), so that the at least one contact pin (91) deforms and is in corresponding contact with the auxiliary contact terminals; and the projection of a contact portion of the at least one auxiliary contact terminal on a first plane and the projection of a contact portion of at least one of the remaining terminals (31) on the first plane partially overlap in a third direction, wherein the first plane is a plane perpendicular to a first direction. The technical problem that the development of chip miniaturization is prone to unstable electrical contact is solved.
