Abstract:
An image-shifting unit 31b generates multiple pairs of shifted image data. A shading correction unit 33 and a half-tone processing unit 35 generate half-tone shifted image data from the shifted images. A differential image generation unit 37 generates half-tone shared image data, which is the shared section in the pair of half-tone shifted image data, and generates half-tone positive differential image data and half-tone negative differential image data which each constitute the difference between the half-tone shared image data and one among the pair of half-tone shifted image data. A synthesized image generation unit 41 synthesizes the half-tone shared image data which corresponds to the positional offset amount and the half-tone positive differential image data or the half-tone negative differential image data. A control unit 45 prints onto continuous paper WP. The image data is only synthesized, and as a result, it is possible to reduce the processing load even when performing printing which minimizes positional shift.
