Abstract:

A left-right wheel drive device (10) is provided with: a casing (15) that has a storage section (18) for storing oil; an intake port (19), disposed on the storage section (18), for drawing out oil in the storage section (18); and two gears (34) that have gear faces in the shape of helical windings, that are supported so as to be able to rotate in at least one direction (D) around a rotating shaft (13), and that are interposed, separated mutually, on a power transmission path that transmits power to left and right wheels of a vehicle. The intake port (19) is located between the two gears (34). Moreover, the gears (34) are disposed offset from the intake port (19) in the axial direction of the rotating shaft (13), in a state in which part of each gear (34) is immersed in the oil in the storage section (18), and the gear faces extend in the one direction (D) and in a direction away from the intake port (19).
