Abstract:
In the present invention, after a cue mark and a surface image have been printed onto the surface of continuous paper WP by a printing unit 21, an image data expansion processing unit 57 generates correction reverse-surface image data on the basis of expansion information, and a printing unit 35 prints, on a reverse surface of a printing medium, a reverse-surface image based on the correction reverse-surface image data. At this time, a page interval calculation unit 61 calculates a page interval from an interval between cue marks detected by a detection unit 33, and a differential computation unit 63 calculates the difference between the page interval and an image size in a direction of conveyance of the correction reverse-surface image data. This difference is indicative of an offset of correction based on the expansion information, and therefore correcting the expansion information via a setting unit 71 using this difference makes it possible to set optimal expansion information. As such, an operator of the device can easily set optimal expansion information on the basis of the difference.
