Abstract:
According to the present invention, a server device receives, from a terminal, first intermediate format data generated on the basis of print data, identifies an output printer upon receiving information relating to a destination to which the print data is to be output, determines whether the first intermediate format data is compatible with the output printer, and, depending on the determination result, may generate second intermediate format data compatible with the output printer from the first intermediate format data. If the server device has generated the second intermediate format data, the server device transmits, to the output printer, either the second intermediate format data or converted print format data obtained by the server device on the basis of the second intermediate format data.
