Abstract:

[Problem] To provide technology to simplify maintaining a probe of an ultrasonic imaging device at a suitable angle with respect to an object to be imaged when an operator grasps and moves the probe. [Solution] A probe adapter 3 that comprises: an abutment face 33 with a shape that conforms to the outer periphery of a cross section of the object to be imaged; and a fixing unit 32 that fixes a probe 2 at a prescribed angle, the probe comprising an ultrasonic transceiving face 23 to transmit and receive ultrasonic waves, and that exposes the ultrasonic transceiving face 23 to the abutment face 33 side.
