Abstract:

The present invention relates to a process for continuously producing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer comprising ethylene and vinyl acetate are subjected to solution copolymerization reaction, characterized in that the gas phase portion of polymerization reaction is connected to one impurity removing tower and after being washed by using the solvent for polymerization reaction, circulated to the reaction system, thereby impurity produced in the reaction can be removed. The present invention also relates to a reaction system for continuously producing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, which includes a reactor for copolymerization of ethylene and vinyl acetate, a recovery tower connected to said reactor, a discharge pipe of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer connected to the bottom of said recovery tower, and a impurity removing tower connected to the top of said reactor for washing out impurity produced in reaction.
