Abstract:
Energy (E) is supplied to a capacitive actuator and the actuator voltage (Up) at the actuator is measured. A conclusion on the state of operation of the actuator or an injection valve, for example its defective or correct operation, is drawn from the energy (E) and the comparison between the actuator voltage (Up) and reference values (Bo; Bu). An actuator lift (ds) is also derived from the actuator voltage (Up). The process is based on regularities represented in a diagram by actuator characteristic curves (KL I; KL II).
