Abstract:

This invention relates to a process for the disproportion and transalkylation of toluene and C9?+¿ heavy aromatic hydrocarbons, which has no disadvantage such as the low ability for treating the heavy aromatic hydrocarbons, or the wasting to the non-aromatic light hydrocarbons or the strict limit of the feed compositions due to only using the dealkylation of heavy aromatic hydrocarbons. According to the invention, it's possible to carry out the disproportion and transalkylation of heavy aromatic hydrocarbons effectively to produce more benzene and xylene by using Mo oxide and other active components supported on zeolites as the catalysts. The said catalysts can be employed in commercial production with high catalytic activity, great treating amount of C10?+¿ aromatic hydrocarbons, and high selectivity for benzene and C8 aromatic hydrocarbons.
