Title:
PROCESS AND MOULD FOR MANUFACTURING A SOAP WITH IMPRINTED TRADE MARK
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/046376
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a process for manufacturing a soap with imprinted trade mark which consists in the casting/injection of the soap background composition into a mould having a core (cores) which reproduces the soap trade mark, the mould opening, the release of the cake of soap and its re-introduction into either the same mould without cores, or another mould without the respective core and the casting/injection of another composition of different colour instead of the core. The mould for the application of process according to the present invention is composed of two half-moulds (1', 1') having cores (2', 2') possibly taken to pieces, which reproduce the soap trade mark and lie till the separation plane of the half-moulds resulting thus a blank space (a) inside the mould which is filled through a cast orifice (b) with the soap background composition, and an orifice (c) through which the other composition is cast/injected instead of the core place.

Description:
Process and mould for manufacturing a soap with imprinted trade mark The present invention refers to a process for manufacturing soap with the trade mark imprinted and a mould for the application of this process.

Up to the present the used process consists of the casting or the injection of the soap compositon into a closed mould followed by the mould opening and the soap release.

On this purpose the used mould has on its walls several indents representing the soap trade mark consisting in a written denomination and/or a drawing seen into the mirror.

This process has the desadvantage that after several utilizations the respective marks, in fact realized only as simple prominences on the side/sides of the soap is blunted so the soap cannot be anymore differentiated from other soaps of the same colour but only by its odour.

The technical problem solved by the present invention consists in elaborating a process for the soap manufacturing so the trade mark remains legible till the soap consumption.

At the same time the invention presents the mould permitting the application of such a process.

The process for manufacturing a soap with imprinted trade mark according to the present invention consists in the following phases: the casting/injection of the soap composition into a mould provided with a mould-core or cores shaped as the soap trade mark, the opening of this mould and the release of the soap cake, the reintroduction of the soap cake into another mould without the respective core or into the same mould with the core taken out and finally, the casting/injection of a soap composition having a different colour and even odour than the background instead of the core.

The mould for the application of this process consists of two half-moulds (mould-parts) separated one from the other through a separation plane and provided with means of reciprocal centring, each of them having a mould-core possibly taken to pieces which reproduces the trade mark desired for the respective soap, and with orifices through which firstly the soap background composition can be cast/injected into the mould and then the signs representing the soap trade mark are cast/injected into the gap left by the respective core.

The application of the present invention brings the following advantages: -the mark desired by the manufacturer remains legible from the beginning of the soap use till its consumption; -one can use combinations of different odours and colours for the soap background and its trade mark; also the signs on the two main sides of the soap cake can be different.

The following represents an embodiment of the invention in connection with the figure representing a section through the mould as well as a projection of each side of the mould for the general case when the soap sides carry a different sign as mark.

The process according to the present invention consists firstly in casting/injecting the soap background composition into a first mould provided with a core or cores shaped as the trade mark of the respective soap. Since this core does not allow the background composition fills up the respective space, this one remains empty after the soap release from the mould. Then the mould is opened and the soap released is re-introduced into either another mould without a core or the same mould but with the core taken out.

Instead of the mould core a composition of different colour and even odour is cast/ injected. Obviously, within the separation plane of the two half-mould the cores elements have to communicate one with the other so the composition of the core reproducing the soap trade mark can fill up all the blank spaces.

The mould for the application of process according to the present invention is composed of two half-moulds 1'and 1"of different or identical shapes depending on the soap form. Each half-mould contains a mould core 2'respectively 2"lying till the separation plane of the half-moulds. Thus a blank space a is formed inside the mould which will be fill through a cast orifice b with the composition representing the soap background. After the opening of the mould either the cores are taken out and other composition with different colour and possibly odour is injected into the mould through another orifice c or the soap cake is introduced into another mould without core where a new core composition is injected. The two cores can be either identical if one wants each side of the soap carries the same sign or different one from the other. Obviously it must that the cores elements constituting the sign could be taken out and easily replaced.

Within the separation plane the elements composing each core communicate one with the other through several adequate channels d in order to be likely to fill all the core cavities. On their outline within the separation plane the two half-moulds have to be provided with several reciprocal centring elements e too, known as such.
