Abstract:
A process for preparing a high-yield collagen sponge. The process comprises: selecting collagen-rich animal tissues, and cutting same into slices or blocks to form tissue slices or tissue blocks; performing a pre-treatment, an enzyme reaction, crushing and an alkali treatment thereon to obtain collagen that maintains a triple helix structure; and then performing freeze-drying to form a collagen sponge. The process has the following beneficial effects: under the premise of removing a telopeptide, elastin and inactivated viruses, the present solution has a higher extraction efficiency and achieves the complete removal of miscellaneous proteins, and the prepared collagen has high purity. Compared with an acid-soluble collagen sponge, the collagen sponge prepared by the present solution has higher tensile strength, higher burst strength and a longer degradation cycle. Moreover, the amount of water used in the process is less, and the scale of reaction devices is smaller than that of other acid or enzyme extraction methods, which can greatly save production site space.
