Title:
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING ARALKYLAMINE DERIVATIVE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/096853
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An aromatic aldehyde derivative represented by the general formula (1): Ar−CHO (1) (wherein Ar represents an aromatic group) is reacted with trichlorosilane and a carbamate represented by the general formula (2): NH2COOR (2) (wherein R represents alkyl or aralkyl) to obtain an aralkyl derivative of the carbamate, the derivative being represented by the general formula Ar−CH2−B (wherein Ar and R have the same meanings as defined above and B represents hydrogen or −COOR). According to need, this derivative is subjected to a reaction for eliminating the protective group to obtain an aralkylamine derivative represented by the general formula Ar−CH2−NH2 (wherein Ar has the same meaning as defined above).
